Yes, Staten Island has professional baseball AND, arguably, the most beautiful ballpark in New York City! The FerryHawks are in their inaugural season and the way the community has come together to enjoy Staten Island baseball proves that they are here to stay. Located at 75 Richmond Terrace, the SIUH Community Park is completely accessible by anyone city wide- cars, trains, ferries, busses and anything else will get you here in no time to enjoy a great day at the game! The General Manager, Gary Perone, is a master at his craft and his craft is to make the FerryHawks enjoyable for all. As Staten Islanders, the team and ballpark belong to US and that’s exactly how he wants it! With sections named after neighborhoods, staple restaurants brought in to serve their famous food at the games and everything else, this is truly a Staten Island thing meant for us to enjoy!! With a long summer ahead of us, make sure you go and catch a game!!

June 2022 1600 Hylan Boulevard, 10305 Staten Island's Only Bowling Alley! Who doesn’t love to go bowling?! This week we were lucky enough to highlight Staten Island’s bowling staple- Rab’s Country Lanes! Located at 1600 Hylan Boulevard, they’ve been there for over 27 years cranking out consistent bowling experiences for those near and far. Looking to play recreationally? Join a team? Just have a few beers and throw a few balls with some friends on a Saturday night? It’s the perfect place for every one of those options and then some! The owner, Frank, takes tremendous pride in running this place and constantly giving back to the community that, in turn, gives so much to Rab’s. Needless to say, we had so much fun!

Have really young ones? The power wheels car seats offered in many different choices for both boys and girls are off the charts- the sirens turn on, the wheels move and everything! Getting a first haircut? You get a lock of hair and a certificate! Have tweens, teens or anything in between? There’s bigger, comfortable chairs with Xbox’s, PlayStations, or all the capabilities for a mini makeover! Included in every haircut is a wash, blow dry, mini-cure (girls can file and paint their nails!) lollipops and balloons. What a place! Want to know what really blew us away? Upon paying for the haircut the child will be given a token. They then go and put that token in a little charity box of their choice- how amazing is that! The charities change as well! April 2022 293 Port Richmond, 10302 Salute' and Cent'anni! Welcome to La Bottiglia! This beautiful, brand new Italian restaurant is located at 293 Port Richmond Avenue! The owner, Nino, has always dreamed of owning an Italian restaurant and he finally made it happen. Just like him, the food is authentic as it gets! Beautiful pulpo, tasty antipasti, burrata smoked tableside (!!), lamb that was cooked PERFECTLY, many different pastas and constantly changing specials keep this place at the top of the charts! There’s live music on the weekends and the bar is fully stocked with anything you could want to drink- from Clase Azul to Macallan, Amarone and any drink under the sun! As a matter of fact Nino shared many espresso martinis with us during this episode 😎🥂 If you’re looking for an authentic experience filled with great food, drink and ambiance this is your place! Give them a try!
